Hachnasas Kallah

Hachnasas Kallah (Providing for a bride)

Agudas Achim Anshei America Yerushalayim provides financial aid for orphaned or destitute brides and grooms, who cannot pay for the wedding necessities, to help them get married respectably.

Contributing to hachnasas kallah as auspicious for a long life

The mitzvah of hachnasas kallah is immeasurable. It is written in the Mishnah, Tractate Peah: “visiting the sick, providing for a bride, escorting the dead”, to teach us that a sick person who is involved with providing for a bride will not reach the point of escorting the dead, in the merit of this important mitzva.

Agudas Achim helps with a respectable sum of money for wedding expenses for those orphaned brides or needy grooms, so they can get married respectably.
To show their thanks and appreciation, the bride and groom pray and bless the donors on their wedding day, that they merit blessing and success and great salvation.

If you would also like the merit of also being a partner in the mitzva of hachnasas kallah (providing for a bride), and having your names mentioned in the prayers of the bride and bridegroom on their wedding day:
